The DHI method is a process that requires high concentration and is performed by a larger team (implanters and the surgeon performing the transplant) compared to traditional transplantation.1. Preparation and Local Anesthesia: Before the operation, the hairline is designed by Buşra Nur Özger. Then, both the donor area (back of the head) and the area to be transplanted are numbed using needle-free or micro-needle anesthesia devices. In DHI, usually only the donor area is shaved (or a window is opened in those with long hair), and the transplant area can be left unshaven.2. Collection of Grafts (Roots): Healthy roots from the nape area are collected one by one with the help of a micromotor. In the DHI technique, the waiting time for the collected roots is very short because the collected roots are loaded into the pens without delay.3. Placing the Grafts into Choi Pens: This stage is unique to DHI. The collected hair roots are carefully separated under a microscope by a team of 3-4 assistants and placed individually into Choi implanter pens. This process continues in a continuous cycle.4. Direct Implantation: The roots loaded into the pens are injected directly into the bald or sparse area at the angle (usually 40-45 degrees), direction, and depth determined by Buşra Nur Özger. Since no channels are opened beforehand, the existing hair can be easily penetrated, resulting in a very dense implantation appearance.
